Great news for planners! The Executive Yuan (行政院) has officially ratified the 2026 (Republic of China Year 115) government work calendar. Following the major regulatory updates in 2025, this year marks a significant shift in how we rest and work in Taiwan.

In 2026, 120 days of total leave and zero makeup workdays (補班日) for the entire year!

2026 Key Highlights at a Glance

Total Holidays: 120 days.

Long Weekends: 9 major breaks of 3 days or more.

The "No-Makeup" Policy: Following the 2025 reforms, the government has streamlined the calendar to eliminate the need for makeup Saturdays, making your weekends truly your own.
